An array of my dreams ,
A sheaf never one could see ,
I haggard in ravines ,
Wilted , shriveled up
Couldn't dampen
the hankering !
Why did I slow down ?
Why couldn't I see ?
Why didn't I listen to my heart beat ?
Now ashen ,emaciated
I turn back to look at my smothered affinity ,
All that I can see is
A flume full of skeletons of my dreams !
If wishes were horses ,
I would ride to go back ,
Become a mermaid ,
Bathe in the waters of ravines ,
And moisten my famished dreams .

Very nice. Must i say wishes are horses, tied up in stables. You need to set them free and ride them. You will fall and get all bruised, but in the end, it will be worth it, and you will have a life well lived. Very well written, lovely thought, exasperation which echoes through everyone's life
